Following on from my Streatham and Brixton Posters, I have been creating more images of South London Boroughs. I’m quite enjoying adding to the collection. The process involves visiting the area to capture the iconic buildings and any notable or distinguishing features. These collage artworks are then reduced in colour and developed into a flat screen print effect. Colour choice often comes from a feeling I have for the location and any references I may see that might inspire me. Posters sizes are A3 and A1. Ive taken to selling these posters at local Pop Up Markets. Check out my instagram to see where I may be next. @stevengappy. Being a professional surface pattern designer, I am able to create repeat tiles and develop homeware and accessories products for sale on my Contrado store. http://www.contrado.co.uk/stores/steven

Crystal Palace
Once famous for the iconic cast iron and plate glass structure of Crystal Palace, which sadly burnt down on 29 November 1936. The origonal Crystal Palace was the centrepiece of the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London. The area has a lot of historic and hidden treasures to explore, from the magnificent Egyptian inspired interior of the Subway to the 1854 dinosaurs in the Crystal Palace Park.
