The V&A Museum is one of my favourite places to visit. I can get lost in there for hours. Radio 4’s Women’s Hour Craft Prize were exhibiting the finalists at the V&A and I managed to catch this event on the last weekend. I thought all the finalist were outstanding but those who caught my eye were. Peter Marigold for his Bleed Series – surface effects. Alison Britton – Potter, for her painted surfaces. Laura Youngson Call for her goatskin vellum enigmatic sculptures. Phoebe Cummings for her decorative clay sculptures and Celia Pym for her darning, knitting embroidery on other peoples cloths.
